Brent Knoll Bowl 2022

The OMGS competed in the BKB event at Burnham & Berrow on the 25^th-27^th March 2022.

Team comprised of Darryl McMahon (Capt), David Gregory (Etonhurst), Max Broadfield (Kingsweston), George Powell (Etonhurst), Nic Elliot (Kingweston), Phil White (Cookson).

The weather was extraordinary versus any other year with the sun beckoning down on the Millfield athletes for the entirety of the weekend. The pre-tournament raffle saw Millfield sell for £130 again, only being tipped shy of the Royal Air Force Golf Society. Therefore, the draw could only mean one thing. Clash of the titans round one!

The team lost 2-1 in the opener with all games going thru 17 holes.

From this we qualified for the BKB Plate. Another 3 games to pass through before we could lift the elusive Consolation Cup for the second time in three years…

The team won their Quarter Final match 3-0, the Semi Finals 3-0, and the final 2-1.

The boys did us proud once again in the season opener allowing our efforts to be firmly on the GM in October when we will defend our National Champions status!
